Twins Win after Player Denied AutographUpdated Wednesday August 1, 2018 by J Biggs.
Game Summaries can provide valuable insight into a game beyond the boxscore, especially to those who are "hospital patients, shut-ins, and those of you who can't make it to the games". Recently, a sizable readership following of one person had begun following the Mudcats writer unbeknownst to him.
Before the game, the lone reader had the opportunity to meet the Mudcats writer and in preparation, had printer every game summary written hoping to have them signed. What the Twin player did not anticipate was that the Mudcats writer is often described as "the biggest a**hole in the world". The rest of the Mudcats were not surprised when their teammate denied the Twins player an autograph.
The Mudcats were taken aback once the game started as the Twins rallied behind their whimsical and endearing teammate. The Twins were lead by a strong pitching performance from Dan Skolovy and a two homerun game by Rob Chartrand, one of which was the first of back to back homeruns.
In the top of the seventh, the Twins had a sizable 8-1 lead. But the sting of rejection wore heavy on one player like the Atlas condemmed to bear the weight of the sky for siding against the victorious Olympians. The Mudcats capitalized on timely errors to score five runs and put the tying run on base. Unfortunalty the Mudcats luck came to an end and the game finished 8-6 for the Twins.
In an act of good sportsmanship after the game, the Twins player/fan asked to see the condiments from the infamous condiment game but was yet again denied by "the biggest a**hole in the world".
